Belles vacances avec le toast du tuileur !

Tu

Dear Brethren of the mystic tie, the night is waning fast.
Our duty’s done our feast is over this song must be our last:
Good night, good night
Once more, once more repeat the farewell strain:
Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again.

To all poor and distressed Masons, wherever dispersed over the face of earth, and water, wishing them a speedy relief from all their sufferings, and a safe return to their native country, if they desire it.
Before rising to part, from this festive board, let us turn our thoughts to those of our Brethren who are scattered over the face of the earth.
Let us wish humility to those fortunate.
Let us wish solace to those who suffer, a speedy recovery to those in sickness, and improvement in their lot to those in misfortune.
To those who stand before the gates of death, firmness of heart and peace in the eternal East.

Are your glasses charged in the West and in the South , the Worshipful Master cries :
They charged in the West, they charged in the South are, the Wardens prompt replies.
Then to our final toast tonight your glasses fairly drain
“Happy to meet, Sorry to part, Happy to meet again”

The social brotherhood around this festive board,
Reveals a wealth more precious far than selfish misers hoard.
We prize each brother fair or dark who bears no moral stain.
“Happy to meet, Sorry to part, Happy to meet again”

We work like Masons free and true, and when our task is done,
A merry song and cheering glass are not unduly won.
And only at our farewell pledge is pleasure touched with pain.
“Happy to meet, Sorry to part, Happy to meet again”

The Masons feels the noble truth the Scottish peasant told,
That rank is but a guineas stamp, the man himself the gold,
With us the rich and poor unite and equal rights maintain,
“Happy to meet, Sorry to part, Happy to meet again”

Dear Brethren of the mystic tie, the night is waning fast,
our duty’s done, our feast is over this toast must be the last,
“Good night,….. good night…..
Once more,…… once more….. repeat the farewell strain:
Happy to meet, Sorry to part, Happy to meet again.”

Brethren the toast to all poor and distressed Masons,
wherever dispersed on land or sea,
wishing them a speedy relief to their sufferings,
and a safe return to their native land, should they so desire.

With, Pocket, Heart, Hand
With, Pocket, Heart, Hand
